Call for proposals: FDCT -2025 Macao Funding Scheme for Key R&D Projects

Dear leaders and colleagues:
Our university has received notification from the Macau Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT) that applications for the "2024 Macao Funding Scheme for Key R&D Projects" is accepted on July 29, 2025. We would like to remind you that colleagues who are interested in applying for the application must fill out the online system(https://apps.fdct.gov.mo/subsidy/public/index.html#/)and obtain the approval from your Faculty/ Research Institute/ Research Supervisor of Department, then get the original recommendation form (including the opinions and signatures), as well as related attachments should be submitted on or before August 18, 2025 to RTAO.
The research project for this grant has the following requirements:
1. Direction of the Guideline: “Traditional Chinese Medicine and General Health "and “Lunar and Planetary Sciences”.
2. “Traditional Chinese Medicine and General Health "and “Lunar and Planetary Sciences” with a maximum funding of MOP15 million; and the implementation period shall not be more than 4 years.
3. Each research project must have a project leader who is responsible for leading and coordinating the project (hereinafter referred to as "project leader"), and the project leader shall meet the following conditions: The project leader shall be an associate professor or above. The project leader shall be a full-time employee of the applicant and work full-time for the applicant for at least nine months per year. Each research project may have no more than three subjects, and each subject must have a responsible person (hereinafter referred to as "subject leader"), and the subject leader shall meet the following conditions: A doctoral degree or a master's degree with at least six years of R&D experience in enterprises, or an assistant professor or above is required. Not less than 50% of the subject leaders are full-time employees of the applicant. For each project, the participation of entities other than the applicant in the project in the form of cooperation (hereinafter referred to as "participating entities") may be accepted, but the number of participating entities accepted for each project shall not exceed 6. Experts involved in the preparation of the relevant application guidelines shall not be the project (subject) leaders or members.
4. Key considerations will be given to the followings during the assessment: the content of the research, objectives setting and technology roadmap, division of tasks and work schedules, R&D teams and work basis, expected outcomes.
