Epidemic Intelligent Prediction and Early Warning System

 Associate Prof. Hon Chi Tin’s Research Team-Epidemic Intelligent Prediction and Early Warning System

 This system is developed by the Respiratory Disease AI Laboratory on Epidemic Intelligence and Medical Big Data Instrument Applications, Faculty of Innovative Engineering, Macau University of Science and team. The Repic Lab is jointly established by Macau University of Science and Technology and Guangzhou Medical University Guangzhou Respiratory Health Research Institute, State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease. Academician Nanshan Zhong serves as the chairman of the expert committee, Professor Zifeng Yang serves as the co-director, and Professor Chitin Hon serves as the director.  Some of the models accurately predicted the epidemic situation in 16 provinces and cities across the country during the epidemic. During the COVID-19 epidemic, the national prediction and early warning report completed based on this system was praised by relevant departments and Academician Nanshan Zhong several times. After the epidemic policy was relaxed, the prediction and early warning model was continuously improved and participated in the epidemic prediction of 31 provinces and cities across the country. More than 400 prediction reports have been submitted to relevant national departments.
